To give you total peace of mind, our playrooms are equipped with live webcams during all playtime hours. You can check in anytime and see your dog enjoying their day, socializing with friends, and being cared for by our trained team.
Engaging Activities That Prevent Boredom
Just like humans, dogs can get bored, and boredom can lead to unwanted behaviours. That’s why our playrooms are designed to stay fun, stimulating, and engaging.
Each month, we release an activity calendar filled with themed activity days and enrichment experiences that keep dogs mentally and physically engaged. From interactive games to sensory enrichment, our activities help dogs burn energy, build confidence, and have fun while they play.
Included Open Play During Boarding
At The Modern Dog, we believe exercise and social time should never be an add-on. Every boarding guest receives up to 10 hours of open play each day, included in their stay.
We also don’t charge extra for:
- Additional feedings
- Medication administration
- Special care routines

Clean, Fresh Air with Advanced HVAC & UV Filtration
Your dog deserves a healthy environment, and that includes the air they breathe. Our facility is equipped with specialized high-volume HVAC systems that fully replace the air in our playrooms every seven minutes.
This means your dog enjoys:
- A climate-controlled space
- Constant fresh airflow
- Reduced airborne contaminants
In addition, UV lights installed in our ductwork help neutralize airborne bacteria, adding another layer of protection for your pet.
Safety Is Always Our Priority
When it comes to safety, we believe more is more. Our facility is designed with four separate doors between open-play dogs and the outside, significantly reducing the risk of accidental escapes.
Beyond our building design, safety is reinforced through:
