With three spacious playrooms grouped by size and temperament, we provide off-leash, open-play fun tailored to each dog’s needs. Your pup will go home happy, tired, and ready for a good nap.

Our Commitment to Safety
All dogs must pass a Meet & Greet to ensure they’re a good fit for our open-play environment. Dogs over 7 months must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. The Modern Dog is also home to specialized HVAC systems, so your pup is always breathing in the freshest air on top of our cleaning protocol set by an environmental biologist and veterinarian!

At The Modern Dog Royal Windsor, boarding isn’t just a place to sleep—it’s a staycation for your pup. Our overnight guests enjoy full access to our off-leash, open-play environment during the day, socializing and exercising alongside our daycare dogs. After a fun-filled day, they rest comfortably in a familiar, safe space they know and trust.
We don’t use kennel runs. Instead, we focus on supervised, structured play by day, and cozy, quiet rest by night. It’s the perfect balance of fun and comfort—where your dog can make new furry friends and go home tired, happy, and relaxed.
To ensure your dog’s stay is smooth and stress-free, we recommend bringing their regular food, medications, and optional bedding from home. Our team is trained to maintain routines that support both physical and emotional well-being.

The Modern Dog Royal Windsor is home to one of Mississauga top-rated groomers!
Lauren started her journey with modern dog way back when it was known as Dogtopia, as a canine coach in 2016. In 2020 she downsized from working with a pack to one on one as a dog bather. In 2022 she went to Fluffy Paws grooming school to hone her skills as a fully fledged dog groomer. As a Canine coach she learned how to read body language and work with the dogs in a safe and positive manner. As a dog groomer she knows how to do breed standard cuts and loves to work with the pet parents as part of their team getting the dogs coat and body healthy clean and beautiful. She would love to discuss and be asked any questions you may have. Her 10 year old Sheltie is also part of the team and ready to play with any of the dogs in the beach after there groom!
